Group Trips 2019

Cambodia

During our 2019 group trip, The Hearts Company completed multiple projects in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Projects included building and upgrading infrastructure, providing electricity for the buildings, donating school supplies and clothing for the students and donating new computers with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Applications and other learning applications to our flagship school Building Future Opportunity Kbalromeas School (BFOK).

With the help of our volunteers and donors we were able to build 1 library, 1 art room as well as upgrade their computer room facilities. We also were able to implement sponsorship programs for our teachers at BFOK as well as a pen pal program for our students at the school with students from England and The Netherlands.

BFOK is a registered Non-Government Organization (NGO) that provides a safe environment for over nearly 320 disadvantaged children and young adults in Kokdong Village, Toek Vil Commune, Siem Reap City. BFOK offers educational and vocational opportunities including; English Classes, Arts and Crafts Classes, Sports Education, Organic Farming, Computer studies, Social Work and education on Hygiene, Nutrition and environmental issues.

Our short-term goal is to provide BFOK with consistent annual funding that will allow instructors to make a liveable wage, and to remove the stressful burden of all operating and supply expenses.

Currently, the teachers are not earning a liveable wage, and some are working multiple jobs to afford to continue teaching at BFOK.

Donate today and impact the future of hundreds of Cambodian students and teachers.
